Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: (Thursday): Arrive Delhi

Arrive in Delhi. On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative at International Airport and transferred to the hotel for check-in. 

Day 02: (Friday): Delhi-Bhubaneswar (By flight)

Early morning transfer to Delhi's domestic terminal for a flight to Bhubaneswar. Check into the hotel, then explore Bhubaneswar's renowned temples, including Parasurameswar, Mukteswar, Rajarani, and the iconic Lingaraj Temple (entry restricted for non-Hindus).

Day 03: (Saturday): Bhubaneswar-Raghurajpur-Puri (By surface approx. 120 Kms /04 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Puri, stopping en route to visit Dhauli Peace Pagoda, Pipili Appliqué Village, and Raghurajpur Artisan Village. Upon arrival in Puri, check into the hotel and relax.

                                                                                                                   

Day 04: (Sunday): Puri-Konark-Puri (By surface approx. 35 Kms/01 Hrs, one way)

After breakfast, take an excursion to Konark's renowned Sun Temple. Return to Puri for an afternoon city tour, visiting Lord Jagannath Temple (viewed from outside), Narendra Tank, local bazaars, and other notable attractions.

         

Day 05: (Monday): Puri-Chilika-Gopalpur (By surface approx. 180 Kms/05 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Gopalpur, visiting Coastal Odisha villages en route to experience local culture and traditions. Stop at Chilika Lake for a boat ride to view migratory birds. Arrive in Gopalpur and check into the resort.

Day 06: (Tuesday): Gopalpur-Taptapani- Rayagada (By surface approx. 220 Kms/05 Hrs):

After breakfast, drive to Rayagada, stopping at Berhampur's silk-weaving street and Taptapani's hot sulfur springs. Visit Saura tribal villages en route, where you can engage with the community and experience their unique lifestyle firsthand. 

Day 07: (Wednesday): Rayagada-Chhatikona-Jeypore (By surface approx. 220 Kms/05 Hrs) 

Weekly Market commence only on Wednesday.  

Early morning, visit Chhatikona's vibrant weekly Dongria Kondh market. The Dongrias, a primitive hill-dwelling tribe, trade forest products here. Known as Jharnia, stream protectors, they recently won a landmark environmental battle. Enjoy a picnic lunch and visit the Mali tribe.

 

Day 08: (Thursday):  Jeypore-Onkudelli-Jeypore (By surface approx. 160 Kms /04 Hrs)

Weekly Market commence only on Thursday. 

Early morning, drive to Onkudelli to explore the vibrant market of the Bonda, Gadaba, and Didayee tribes. Later, visit ancient Gadaba villages, whose culture remains unchanged for over a millennium. In the afternoon, walk to Kangarapada's Boro Gadaba villages, interacting with locals with guidance from an expert translator.

Day 09: (Friday): Jeypore-Nagarner-Jagdalpur (By surface approx.  230 Kms / 05 Hrs)

After breakfast, visit Baligaon and the Halba tribal market, followed by a tour of a Gond tribal village. Drive to Jagdalpur, stopping at Kotpad weaving village en route. In the afternoon, explore the vibrant weekly market at Nagarner. 

Day 10: (Saturday): Jagdalpur

Embark on a day excursion to Kanger Valley National Park, home to the Dhurwa tribe in the sanctuary's core area. Explore stunning stalactite and stalagmite caves, the serene Tirathgarh Waterfall, and visit the Tribal Museum in the afternoon.

Day 11: (Sunday): Jagdalpur-Kondagaon-Kanker (By surface approx. 160 Kms/04 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Kanker. Visit Nayennar village for the Bison Horn Dance of the Maria tribe and stop at Bahigaon to witness the Gutul Dance of the Muria tribe. Enjoy a packed lunch at a silk processing plant, then visit Kondagaon to observe the lost wax technique of brass idol making.

Day 12: (Monday): Kanker-Kawardha (By surface approx. 260 Kms/06 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kawardha. Overnight at the palace of the local maharaja. Afternoon a walking tour of Baiga villages.  

Day 13: (Tuesday): Kawardha.  

Fullday to explore the baiga villages around Kawardha including witnessing a dance performance of the local tribes.

Day 14: (Wednesday ): Kawrdha – Nagpur -Delhi (By flight)

After a leisurely breakfast transfer to airport to board the flight to Delhi.

Afternoon sightseeing of Old Delhi including a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk and Gurudwara Bangla Saheb.

 

Day 15: (Thursday): Delhi Departure

On time transfer to Delhi International terminal to board the flight for onward journey.
