Detailed Itinerary

 

 

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

 Arrive in Delhi and meet our representative for your hotel transfer. Rooms are pre-booked for immediate occupancy. Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, explore Old Delhi's vibrant bazaars, starting at Rajghat, Mahatma Gandhi's cremation site.

Drive past the Red Fort, enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk’s bustling alleys, and visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Conclude the day with cocktails and dinner at the beautifully restored 19th-century Haveli Dharampura.

Day 02:: Delhi 

After breakfast, explore New Delhi, a city blending modernity with tradition. Visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the city's prominent Sikh temple, and drive past the President’s Palace to India Gate. Explore Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and the Lotus Temple.

In the evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and home-cooked meal with a local family.                                                                                        

Day 03:: Delhi-Jaipur (By surface approx. 300 Kms/05 Hrs)     

 After breakfast, drive for 5 hours to Jaipur and check into your hotel. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur was founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and is rich in history. In the afternoon, explore the City Palace, home to royal residences and museums. Visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh II, featuring marble-faced instruments for precise celestial measurements.

Day 04:: Jaipur 

After breakfast, take a half-day excursion to Amber Fort, stopping at the Hawa Mahal, a 5-story palace with 953 windows for royal ladies to view city events unseen. Continue to Amber Fort, an ancient Rajput capital.

Take a jeep ride to the top, then return to Jaipur. In the afternoon, visit the villages of Sanganer or Bagru, where you can witness the art of Tie and Dye (Bandhani), block printing, and handmade paper production.

In the evening, explore Jaipur’s vibrant bazaars, known for textiles, jewelry, and markets like MI Road and Babu Bazaar.

Day 05:: Jaipur-Pushkar (By surface approx. 150 Kms/03 Hrs) 

Start the morning with a balloon ride over Amer Fort. After breakfast, drive to Pushkar for a three-hour journey and check into deluxe Swiss Cottage Tents with private bathrooms, electricity, and running water.

Over the next two days, experience the vibrant Pushkar Camel Fair, where thousands of camels, horses, and cattle are traded amidst colorful attire and lively markets.

Day 06:: Pushkar

We'll have the whole day to wander and photograph at Pushkar. We are timing our visit to arrive at the fair at the optimum time to see the plenitude of trading camels, sheep, horses and cows. Their owners, dressed in colorful attire use all of their persuasive skills to sell them at the most competitive prices. If lucky, we may be able to see different kind of animal competitions like racing, best dressed, best dancer etc.

Day 07:: Pushkar-Jodhpur (By surface approx. 180 Kms/04 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur for a 4-hour journey and check into your hotel. Known for the towering Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur offers a stunning landscape. In the late afternoon, stroll through the medieval markets where tribal communities gather to trade goods.

Day 08:: Jodhpur 

After breakfast, visit Mehrangarh Fort, a 5km-long structure built by Rao Jodha on a 125m-high hill. Explore its palaces, latticed windows, and the Fort Museum, showcasing royal artifacts. Next, visit Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph honoring Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore Jodhpur.

                                                                                          

Day 09:: Jodhpur-Jaisalmer (By surface approx. 270 Kms/05 Hrs)

 After breakfast, drive for 5 hours to Jaisalmer and check into your hotel. Founded in 1156, Jaisalmer, known as the Golden City, is dominated by the yellow sandstone Jaisalmer Fort. In the late afternoon, explore the city's lanes, then visit Bada Bagh to photograph the sunset over the fort.

 

Day 10:: Jaisalmer

After breakfast, visit Jaisalmer Fort, built in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, perched on a hill and known as India’s only "Living Fort." Explore its narrow lanes, havelis, palaces, and Jain temples. Visit Patwon Ki Haveli, an architectural masterpiece.

In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance under the stars, followed by a private dinner on a sand dune in the Thar Desert.

                                                                                       

Day 11:: Jaisalmer-Bikaner (By surface approx. 330 Kms/06 Hrs)

 After an early breakfast, drive for 6 hours to Bikaner and check into your hotel. Founded in 1488 by Rao Bika, this oasis town retains its medieval charm. Visit the Junagadh Fort, uniquely located on the desert plain with intricate murals and carvings.

                                                                                     

Day 12:: Bikaner-Thar Desert (By surface approx. 220 Kms/04 Hrs)

 After an early breakfast, drive to the Kolayat Fair, a rural event held on the full moon day, where villagers gather for a holy dip in Kolayat Lake. Spend the morning here, then head to your sand dune camp.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a 4WD jeep safari to meet Rajasthan’s desert communities, followed by sundowners on the dunes at sunset.                                                                      

Day 13:: Thar Desert-Rohet Garh (By surface approx. 150 Kms/03 Hrs)

 After breakfast, drive for 3 hours to Rohet Garh and check into your hotel. Rohet, a vibrant desert village, is home to the 16th-century Rathore descendants. In the afternoon, enjoy a 4WD jeep safari through the countryside to observe rural life.

                                                                                                

Day 14:: Rohet Garh-Ranakpur-Udaipur (By surface approx. 210 Kms/05 Hrs)

 After breakfast, drive to Udaipur, stopping at Ranakpur en route to explore the 14th-century Jain temples. Known for their exquisite marble carvings, the temples feature 1,444 unique pillars. Continue your journey to Udaipur, the City of Lakes, and check into your hotel.

                                                                                

Day 15:: Udaipur 

After breakfast, explore Udaipur, a romantic city nestled in the Aravalli hills. Visit the City Palace, a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, and the Jagdish Temple, showcasing Nagara style. Enjoy the Sahelion-ki Bari garden and a vintage car drive. End with a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola.

                                                                               

Day 16:: Udaipur-Mumbai (By flight) 

Fly to Mumbai in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Explore this vibrant city, blending affluence and poverty. Visit the Prince of Wales Museum, drive past historic British buildings and CST Terminus, and capture photos at Dhobi Ghat and Mani Bhawan.

Day 17:: Mumbai 

 Morning heritage walking tour of the Fort area, the city's heart in the 18th century, with landmarks like Fort St. George, Bombay University Library, and Neo-Gothic buildings. Visit Churchgate to see the Dabbawalas, then tour vibrant Dharavi slums. Enjoy a farewell dinner.

  

Day 18:: Mumbai Departure 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mumbai International airport to board the flight to back home.
