Detailed Itinerary
Day 02: Arrive Amritsar
Visit the Golden Temple, initiated by Guru Ramdas and completed by Guru Arjan in 1601, a place of profound spirituality. Later, witness the Wagah Border ceremony, and return in the evening to watch the “Palki Sahib” procession.
Day 03: Amritsar – Chandigarh (By Train)
In the morning, visit the Golden Temple for its vibrant “langar” service, explore the Partition Museum, and visit Jallianwala Bagh. Stroll through the old town, then board the train to Chandigarh in the late afternoon.
Day 04: Chandigarh
Enjoy a full-day Chandigarh city tour, including the Le Corbusier Museum, showcasing the architect’s legacy; the UNESCO-listed Capital Complex with its striking modernist architecture; the innovative Rock Garden by Nek Chand; and a sunset boat ride at Sukhna Lake.
Day 05: Chandigarh-Haridwar ((By surface approx. 220 Kms/05-06 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar, where the Ganges enters the Indo-Gangetic Plains. Explore Har-Ki-Pauri, temples, and ashrams. In the evening, witness the enchanting Ganga Aarti, with floral diyas and synchronized prayers creating a spiritually uplifting experience.
Day 06: Haridwar-Rishikesh-Haridwar (By surface approx. 25 Kms/01 Hrs, one way)
After breakfast, enjoy a day trip to Rishikesh, renowned for its sacred ambiance and stunning natural beauty. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, and Parmarth Ashram before returning to Haridwar for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Haridwar-Delhi (By train)
After an early breakfast, transfer to Delhi by train. In the afternoon, visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, renowned for its holy "Sarovar" and Langar service, and the Birla Temple, a magnificent Hindu temple blending tradition with modern architecture.
Day 08: Delhi
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour of New and Old Delhi. Explore New Delhi’s landmarks like Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, and the President’s Palace. In Old Delhi, visit Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, and experience Chandni Chowk’s vibrant bazaars via rickshaw.
Day 09: Delhi-Varanasi (By train)
Take an early morning train to Varanasi. In the late afternoon, enjoy a rickshaw ride through the bustling old city bazaar, a walking tour of the Ghats, and a boat ride to witness the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Day 10: Varanasi
Start your day with a serene Ganges boat ride at sunrise, witnessing rituals, bathing pilgrims, and the beauty of 100 ghats. After breakfast, explore Varanasi’s temples and Benaras Hindu University, then visit Sarnath, the Buddhist pilgrimage site. End with an evening Ganga Aarti boat ride.
Day 11: Varanasi-Allahabad (By surface approx. 130 Kms/03 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Allahabad (3 hours) and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Allahabad Fort, Hanuman Mandir, and the sacred Sangam, where the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet. Enjoy a boat ride before returning to the hotel.
Day 12: Allahabad-Khajuraho (By train)
After breakfast, visit Anand Bhawan Museum, the Nehru-Gandhi family's ancestral home, showcasing their legacy in India's independence. Then explore Khusro Bagh, a Mughal-era garden with mausoleums of Khusrau Mirza and his family. After lunch, board the train to Khajuraho.
Day 13: Khajuraho
Khajuraho, once the religious capital of the Chandela dynasty, is home to 22 temples showcasing intricate erotic sculptures. Visit the Eastern and Western Group temples, including the Varaha and Kandariya Mahadeva temples. In the afternoon, explore the Southern Group temples.
Day 14: Khajuraho-Orchha-Jhansi (By surface approx. 180 Kms/04 Hrs + By Train)-Delhi Departure
After breakfast, drive to Jhansi, visiting Orchha en route. Explore this medieval town, known for its Bundela kingdom ruins, including Jahangir Mahal and Raj Mahal. Continue to Jhansi, board the train to Delhi, and later transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
