Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi.  Met upon arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

Fullday sightseeing of Old and New Delhi.

Delhi, India’s vibrant capital, blends history and modernity. Explore Mughal marvels like Humayun’s Tomb, Jama Masjid, and the Red Fort, bustling Old Delhi, and Lutyens' New Delhi. Enjoy world-class shopping, museums, contemporary dining, and energetic nightlife.

Day 3: Delhi – Jaipur

Take a morning train to Jaipur.  After, wander the bazaars of Jaipur

Fullday sightseeing of Jaipur

Jaipur, the "Pink City," enchants with Rajput history, majestic forts like Amber, the iconic Hawa Mahal, and vibrant bazaars. Founded in 1727, its planned layout harmonizes beauty and function, offering timeless charm, colorful streets, and unforgettable cultural experiences.

Day 5: Jaipur – Ranthambhore

Morning drive to Ranthambhore.  Afternoon safari in the park.

Day 6: Ranthambhore

Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve lies in the heart of the desert state of Rajasthan. Formerly the hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur, it became a National Park in 1972.  Dry deciduous forests, lakes, meadows, mountains and forts combine to create a park of great beauty, which  has a healthy population of tigers. In this beautiful setting you can also see leopards, hyena, deer, sloth bear, wild boar and jungle cat.

Day 7: Ranthambhore – Abhaneri

Morning drive to Abhaneri.  Afternoon camel cart ride in the country side.

Abhaneri's stunning stepwell, Chand Baori, features intricate carvings and 3,500 symmetrical steps descending into history. Surrounded by mustard fields, the rural villagers exude warmth, showcasing a simple, vibrant lifestyle amidst lush landscapes, traditional homes, and timeless agricultural charm.

Day 8: Abhaneri – Agra

Morning drive to Agra.  Afternoon sightseeing of Taj Mahal from across the river.

Marvel at the iconic Taj Mahal, best viewed in the morning, a breathtaking symbol of eternal love. Explore Agra’s imposing Red Fort, showcasing Mughal grandeur, and visit the exquisite Baby Taj (Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah), a jewel-like monument of delicate marble craftsmanship.

Day 10: Agra – Jhansi (by Train) – Drive to Khajuraho

Morning train to Jhansi and then drive to Khajuraho.

Day 11: Khajuraho – Varanasi

Morning sightseeing of Khajuraho.  Afternoon fly to Varanasi.

The Khajuraho temples showcase extraordinary fine art and intricate carvings, blending spirituality and sensuality. Day 12: Varanasi

Early morning boat ride in Varanasi.  PM: Visit of Sarnath.  Evening Aarti at the ghats.

Experience a serene early morning boat ride on the Ganges in Varanasi, witnessing sacred rituals along the ghats. Visit Sarnath's ancient stupa, a revered Buddhist site, and behold the mesmerizing evening aarti, a spiritual spectacle of fire, chants, and devotion.

Day 13: Varanasi – Delhi

Morning fly to Delhi.  Afternoon at leisure.

Day 14: Depart Delhi

Fly out.
